ethereal body elemental
a somatic dance immersion in the swiss alps
21-23.8. 2026
LACUNA creation space, Stampa, Val Bregaglia
Over the course of three days, we dive deep deep into the realm of the sensory and suprasensory experience of weaving connections between the listening body, movement and landscape. Dance, deep listening practices and somatic exploration merge into a layered creation process
In a dance practice that moves between structure, form and flow, we cultivate somatic clarity and build awareness of the different layers of the body and how they work together to create a variety of physical, energetic and perceptual states, as well as distinct movement qualities.
The practice develops into a creative process that dives deep into the sensory and perceptual realms of living landscapes. Rooted in deep listening and sensuous observation practices, we locate and orient ourselves in relationship to inner and outer landscapes, opening pathways for deeper sensing, feeling and connection through the perceptual reciprocity between body and earth.
Unfolding through sensation, feeling, emotion, dream and imagination, we open into the mythopoetic dimension of the body - a dimension always moving beneath conscious awareness, carrying symbolic patterns, personal stories and deeper orientations of meaning. In relationship with land and landscape, these personal stories expand beyond the individual and are woven into a collective overstory of elemental life, ecological intelligence and becoming.
Grounding our dancing and the art of composition In this continuous embodiment, our body emerges as the ethereal body elemental: the subtle body as dream substance, sensitivity, energetic presence and spatial resonance, interweaving with the body’s material intelligence of earth, water, fire, air and ether.
